"Searching"

I’m going to introduce a movie which caused me to think about seriously about SNS and family conversation. The movie is Searching starring John Cho, Debra Messing and Michelle La. This movie came out in 2018. This is an American mystery thriller movie directed by Aneesh Chaganty. This movie was the first feature film for Aneesh and he also directed Run. The main character in Searching is David Kim, played by John Cho. He is an American actor. He was nominated for the Independent
Spirit Award for Best Male Lead for his performance in Searching.

Today, most people are using SNS, and student are hiding their true feelings or thinking from their parents. Probably, it’s because they're teenagers, but do you think that is the only reason for not talking to one's parents? This movie follows a father trying to find his missing 16-year-old daughter. When he tries to find any clue, he has no ideas how she was doing at school, who are her friends and does not even know that she quit piano lessons.

Anyways, this movie is entirely on computer screens and smartphones. so the father and police officer talk, using face time. I have never seen anything like this movie. The point that made me think that SNS can be a place where people can belong to, but it can also be dangerous. And people need to know that they are not alone. Sometimes there is something that hard to say to your parents or friends, but take your time and tell them as soon as you are ready. Time won’t solve everything. I want all students to watch this movie and think about how to use SNS for safety, and think about how to be involved with their family.
